Baltimore, Md.- Top-ranked Cornell retained the No. 1 spot in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse DI Media Poll for the fourth straight week. Virginia remained No. 2, but Albany moved up to No. 3 after Navy tumbled to No. 7 this week. Cornell, Virginia and Albany all received first-place votes. MORE>>

UPDATE (April 14th): We will NOT be working at The Glen tomorrow. We are still waiting for spring. Rescheduled date is Sunday, April 29th. Thanks, Coach Ellement

We have scheduled Sunday, April 15 2005 as a volunteer/community service day. It will be ’spring cleanup’ assistance. This will be outside work coordinated with the building grounds leader; Nick Norton. Those who have other Sunday obligations are of course excused.

 

In addition, we will be inviting The Glen citizens to attend the final game of the season on Saturday, May 19 2007 @ Noon vs Christian Brothers Academy. Initial plans include; a special seating section, JV team member escorts, special attention to any handicapped needs, and and opportunity for all to attend a post game meal with members of both teams at the school.

With interest in lacrosse growing, the network has added the new Pontiac High School LAX Game of the Week presented by Warrior; the first game premieres Sunday, April 1st at 9:00 a.m. Additionally, the Aéropostale LAX Report will return for a second year Monday, April 9th at 10:30 p.m. with 10 half-hour episodes. Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena men’s lacrosse team used six goals from attackmen Matt Girsh (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) and Ryan Duggan (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) to knock off the Jaspers 10-9 this afternoon in Orangeburg, N.Y. This marked Siena’s (4-3, 2-0) first win over Manhattan in their last eight meetings. MORE >>

Albany, NY – Frank Resetarits scored three goals and added one assist in leading unbeaten UAlbany to a 13-9 America East Conference victory over UMBC on Saturday afternoon before 1,225 fans at John Fallon Field.  The Great Danes, who are off to an 8-0 start overall and 2-0 in the conference, own the program’s longest streak since 1972 with eight straight wins. UALBANY LACROSSE SUPPORTS NICOLE DALE ALOPECIA FUND ON SATURDAY March 29, 2007

Albany, N.Y. – University at Albany head men’s lacrosse coach Scott Marr and the announced today that the program will be asking for your support on Saturday, March 31 in making donations to the Nicole Dale Alopecia Fund.  The Great Danes will meet University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) at John Fallon Field in a rematch of last year’s America East Conference championship final at 12 noon.Nicole Dale, the sister of Derek, a starting UAlbany attackman, was diagnosed in 14 months ago with microadenoma, a brain tumor near the pituitary gland.  In addition, Nicole, a seventh-grade student from Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., also has alopecia universalis, a disease that affects the autoimmune system and results in a total loss of body hair.

Katie Bishop, from the UAlbany department of athletics, will be stationed in the bleacher area on the east side of John Fallon Field, collecting donations in an effort offset Nicole Dale’s medical expenses.  For those who cannot attend Saturday’s game, donations can be sent by mail to:  Nicole Dale Alopecia Fund, 29 Carlson Road, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY  11779.

Albany, NY – Merrick Thomson tied a season-high with five goals and Frank Resetarits added one goals and five assists as UAlbany held off Colgate, 13-10, in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon at John Fallon Field.  The Great Danes are off to their best start in the program’s history with a 7-0 record. UPDATE (April 12th): The scrimmage is postponed “again” because the weather is poor!!!!
UPDATE (March 29th): The scrimmage has been postponed because of Schuyerville equipment complications.

The JV lacrosse team added Schuylerville to its 2007 schedule. The Black Horses will travel to Queensbury on Friday, March 30th, for a scrimmage to be played on “The Rock”, from 4:30-6:30 PM. Schuylerville is a Class B program in its first year of competition.
