US Lacrosse & Golden Goal Lacrosse Park Seeking Volunteers

The US Lacrosse U15 National Youth Festival, presented by Warrior, is coming to Golden Goal Lacrosse Park, June 20-22. We are thrilled to have 51 teams representing over 16 different states and Canada, and five hailing from the local Adirondack US Lacrosse Chapter. The Youth Festival remains a celebration of the sport focused on participation and sportsmanship with no champions crowned or all-stars chosen.

We are still looking for willing and capable volunteers to help make the event a success. Applicants must be above the age of 16, and roles may include Table Captains, Greeters or Field Crew – it’s up to you! This is a great opportunity for Juniors and Seniors in high school to complete community service hours.

U-LAX: Saratoga Springs Summer Season

What: The website is ulax.org; Each team will play 5-6 regular season games and a playoff to crown the ULAX Saratoga Champ

When: games are sunday afternoons- each an hour long starting at 12; eague runs until August 3; Registration Deadline: Sunday, June 15th, 2008 - League starts on Sunday, June 22nd

Who: ages 18+ years old; players can join established teams or create a team of their own

Where: Games will be played at Skidmore College’s turf field

The Cost: $125/player which includes:

Adirondack Golden Goal featured in Inside Lacrosse

Located in Lake George, NY in the shadows of the Adirondack Mountains, took shape. Golden Goal, which has been in construction for over two years and currently boasts eight playing fields (four of which include a turf surface and lighting), 30 clubhouses, and the capacity to host 1,200 kids, is catered towards players at a slightly more recreational level looking for a one-of-a- kind event usually reserved for those competing at the elite travel level. Our low cost and time effective tournaments continue to offer exposure to college coaches for players who plan to play college lacrosse but who may not get the opportunity to be scouted during the spring season. Albany Power and Empire Development Teams

The Albany Power Lacrosse Club and the Adirondack Chapter of US Lacrosse have partnered to form the developmental Lacrosse program for the Capital Region. The U-18 teams in the Albany Power development program will consists of the areas top high school players. The developmental teams will provide advanced instruction from top area coaches and includes participation in elite summer tournaments. ADKSC Lacrosse Session 2 starts this week

Sunday, January 21st, will be the first night of the Session 2 at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury. The league will run from 8 pm-9 pm, through March 4th – the cost for the seven weeks is $60. Call the ADSC to sign up or for more information.
